Flottman Company releases Plan of Action for H1N1 Virus

In response to the recent outbreaks of the H1N1 flu, the Flottman Company would like to inform our clients that we have taken steps to insure that our company will not be adversely affected and that we will be able to meet our customers needs without any noticeable interruption in delivery of product.

After researching information provided by the Department of Health and Human Resources and the Center for Disease Control, the Flottman Company has developed an immediate plan of action centered around three areas of communication with employees: Awareness, Prevention, and Procedure for Action when someone is sick.  The Flottman Company has also reviewed its disaster plan and confirmed that if there is an H1N1 outbreak at our facility there would be no interruption in the supply of product to our customers.

In the area of Awareness, we have conducted formal meetings with all employees, outlining the dangers of the virus, our methods to prevent the spread of the virus and what steps will be taken at the Flottman Company should an employee become infected with the virus.

Our Prevention methods focus on sanitizing and cleanliness. We have supplied sanitizer at several locations throughout the plant.  We have also adopted a practice of wiping all contact points in our work areas, gathering places and office spaces with sanitizer and have developed a checklist to remind our employees to be diligent in their sanitary practices.

Our Procedure for Action will be to contain any infected employee immediately.  If an employee has a fever or is showing other flu like symptoms, that employee will be immediately excused and not allowed to return until the danger of infection has passed.
